Smartiflix App: What Is the Best IPTV Player to Use?

If you're looking for the Smartiflix app, here is the short answer: there isn't one. We have no app of our own. You watch through a third-party IPTV player, sign in with the login details we send you, and the player shows the channels, movies and series from your plan. This guide explains what an IPTV player is, which players our setup uses on each device, and how to choose between them without falling for a "best player" ranking.
Is there a Smartiflix app?
No. There is no app under our name in any app store, and no official APK either. That's normal for IPTV: the provider supplies the service and the login, and a separate player app displays it. The upside is choice. You can use a player that suits your device, and switch to another later with the same login.
The downside is a risk worth knowing about. Because people search for "Smartiflix app", a file or listing using the name on a download site doesn't come from us. Install only the players named below, from their developers' official sources, or ask the team on WhatsApp for the current link.
What is an IPTV player (and what is an IPTV app)?
An IPTV player is an app that plays live TV and on-demand video from a provider's server. "IPTV app" usually means the same thing. The key point: a player contains no channels on its own. Open it without a login and it's empty. The content comes from your subscription; the player is the screen and the remote.
That's why the same player can be used with many providers, and why the player's developer and your provider are different companies. If a player charges a licence, you pay its developer, not your provider.
A player needs a way to sign in to the provider. The common ones are:
- Xtream Codes: a server URL, a username and a password. It loads live channels, movies, series and the TV guide in one step. Our setup guide uses it wherever the player supports it.
- M3U: a single playlist link. Some players only understand this format; a separate EPG link adds the TV guide.
- MAC activation: some Smart TV players show your TV's MAC address, and the provider activates that address on their side.
- MAG portal: MAG boxes use a portal URL instead of an app.
Our login e-mails include the Xtream Codes details plus M3U and EPG links, so you can use whichever format your player asks for.
Which player to use for Smartiflix on each device
These are the players named in our setup instructions. All are third-party apps; none is included with a plan.
| Device | Players named | Where to get it | How you sign in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV | IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, IBO Player | Developer's official source, installed with the Downloader app | Xtream Codes |
| Android TV, Android boxes, Nvidia Shield, Android phones and tablets | IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, IBO Player | Developer's official source | Xtream Codes |
| Apple TV, iPhone, iPad | Smarters Player Lite | App Store | Xtream Codes |
| Samsung and LG Smart TVs | SET IPTV, NET IPTV, Smart IPTV | The TV's app store | MAC address sent to the team |
| Windows and Mac | IPTV Smarters | Developer's official website | Xtream Codes |
On a Samsung or LG TV, the player shows your TV's MAC address; you send it to the team on WhatsApp, and once they confirm the activation, the channels load. For Roku, Chromecast and MAG boxes, ask the team to confirm your exact device before you pay, because the method depends on the model.
The setup guide has the full steps for each device, and our Firestick guide covers the Fire TV Stick in more depth.
How to compare IPTV players for Smartiflix
Lists of the "top IPTV player" rarely say what they measured. When you compare players for use with Smartiflix, a few things actually matter.
Device support
Start with what runs on your hardware. A player that's excellent on Android is no use on a Samsung TV if it isn't in that TV's store. The table above narrows it down quickly: Apple devices have one named player, Smart TVs have three MAC-activated ones, and Fire TV and Android have three to choose from.
Login type
Check that the player supports the Xtream Codes login. It's the simplest to enter and brings in the TV guide with the channels. If a player only takes M3U, you can still use it with the M3U and EPG links from your e-mail. MAC-activated players need one extra step: sending the address to the team.
How it shows the TV guide (EPG)
Every Smartiflix plan includes a TV guide (EPG), but each player displays it differently: some as a grid, some as a list under each channel. If the guide matters to you, look at how the player shows it and where its "refresh EPG" option sits.
Licence
Some players are free to use, and some charge their own licence, set by their developer. Check the developer's terms before you settle on one. We don't sell or include any player, so the developer is the place to ask about its pricing.
How it feels on your device
Menus, remote-control navigation and how quickly the channel list loads differ from one player to another and from one device to another. This is the part no comparison can settle for you.
What is the best IPTV player?
The honest answer: the one that runs well on your device. A player that feels fast on a recent Android TV box can feel sluggish on an older stick, and the reverse happens too. Pick one of the players named for your device, sign in, and use it for a few evenings. If it doesn't suit you, install another; your Smartiflix login works in any of them.
Not sure where to start? Tell the team on WhatsApp which device you have, and they can suggest a player for it.
Getting players safely
A few habits keep your device clean:
- Get each player from its developer's official source, your device's app store, or the link the team gives you.
- Ignore download addresses or codes posted in comments, forums or videos.
- Be wary of any app presented as a "Smartiflix app" or one that claims to come "with channels included".
- On a Fire TV Stick or Android device, allow unknown apps only for the installer you need, and turn the permission off afterwards.
- Treat your login like a password: don't post it or share a screenshot of it.
The Smartiflix app question, answered
There's no Smartiflix app, and you don't need one. Choose a third-party player that runs well on your device, sign in with the Xtream Codes details from your e-mail, and you're watching. Your plan sets how many devices can watch at the same time, from 1 to 4, and you can install the player on as many devices as you like.
Compare the options on the plans page, or ask whether a trial is available before you order.
